“We came out flat and found ourselves down by quite a bit early on,” reported Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “We played a much better second half and fought our way back into the game, but we just didn’t have enough energy to sustain our run.”
Maycee Tolifson and Brylie Schultz led the Warriors with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Mackenzie Foss (23 points, 7 steals, 3 assists, 6 rebounds) and Molly McGuire (6 points, 6 rebounds) led Hillcrest.
“Mackenzie Foss had a really great night and led our team on both ends of the floor,” added Clark. “She is a competitor and was not going to give up tonight without a fight.”
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (6-9) will travel to Underwood on Monday night.
Hillcrest (1-16) will play C-G-B in Graceville on Monday.
