Wohlers and Jensen Record Hat Tricks as Blades Win on the Road

Isaac Wohlers and Jase Jensen each recorded a hat trick for Breckenridge/Wahpeton on Thursday night at the Civic Arena in Sauk Centre, leading the Blades to a 6-3 win over Prairie Center. 

Wohlers scored from Jensen and Tanner Barth at 10:16 of the first period to give the Blades a 1-0 lead after one.

Jesnen’s goal from Wohlers at 4:02 of the second put the Blades up 2-0, however, the home team countered with goals from Dominic Ritter, assisted by Brady Cline at 6:02, and Ethan Hoffman, assisted by Brady Swanson at 9:18, to tie the game at 2-2.  Breckenridge/Wahpeton finished the period strong as Wohlers scored on the power play from Carson Hought and Avery Rugland at 12:41 and Jensen tallied an unassisted shorthanded goal at 15:47, handing the Blades a 4-2 lead after two.

In the third period, Prairie Center cut the lead to 4-3 on a goal by Cline, assisted by Ritter.  Breckenridge/Wahpeton responded with a Wohlers goal from Barth at 15:50 and an unassisted goal by Jensen at 16:22.

Jared Aamold stopped 24 of 27 shots in the net for the Blades.  Breckenridge/Wahpeton put 28 shots on the Prairie Center goal.
