Battle Lake Girls Hold on for Two Point Win Over Ashby

Battle Lake led 27-18 at halftime against Ashby on Thursday night and held on for a narrow 48-46 win.  The lady Battlers led throughout the game but never reached a double digit lead.  Ashby made a run at the end of the game, but came up short.

Leaders for Battle Lake were Makenna Tysdal with 17 points, 11 of them coming in the second half, Grace VanErp with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Halie Johnson with 7 points.

Ashby was led by Kalista Aamot with 13 points.  Courtney Koefod added 9 points for the Arrows.

Battle Lake (6-12) stopped a four game losing skid with the win.  They will play at Rothsay on Tuesday night.

Ashby (4-15) will host Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday.
