Brandon-Evansville beat Underwood 71-45 on Tuesday night in a Little Eight Conference contest in Brandon.  The Chargers held a 37-22 halftime lead on the Rockets.

Marshall Riedel led the Chargers with 19 points, including a trio of three-pointers.  Tanner Bitzan and Titus Fuller scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

“I thought we did a nice job, especially in the second half, pushing the tempo and getting the ball up the court for easy baskets,” stated Head Coach Trent Hintermeister of Brandon-Evansville. “Defensively we did a pretty nice job limiting them to one shot tonight.”

Krosby Aasness made 10-of-13 free throws and ended up with 15 points to lead the Rockets.  Canaan Kugler scored 9 and Braden Thorson finished with 7 points.  The Rockets made just 38% (14-36) of their field goal attempts in the game.

"Brandon really came out and played with a lot more intensity and physicality than we did tonight on both sides of the ball," observed Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  "We weren't ready for the physical play and couldn't match their intensity tonight."

Underwood (1-15) will host Parkers Prairie in another Little Eight Conference contest on Friday night.

Brandon-Evansville (9-6) will host Rothsay on Friday night in Evansville.
