WDC Girls Defeat Verndale 73-39

Kennedy Gravelle and Madison Carsten each scored 21 points on Thursday night to key a 73-39 victory for Wadena-Deer Creek over the Verndale Pirates.

Carsten scored 17 of her 21 in the first half as the Wolverines built a 31-17 lead. 

Tess Jones led Verndale with 9 points.

Wadena-Deer Creek (9-7) will host Frazee on Friday night.

Verndale (5-10) is at home Friday night against Nevis.
