The Trojans shot 47% (35-73) from the field and hit 8-of-23 (34%) 3-pointers on the night. The also held a 39-26 advantage on the boards.
Adam Tonsfeldt had a huge night for Barnesville with 36 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Kaden Zenzen scored 20 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and came up with 3 steals. Logan Ernst and Matt Samuelson added 9 points apiece.
“The first half was a really back-and-forth affair,” reported Barnesville Assistant Coach Tracy Hinsz. “Kaden Zenzen had to sit out about sixteen minutes with early foul trouble but in the second half he got a lot of points inside. We also had much better defensive pressure in the second half.”
Jack Garmen led the Pirates with 23 points, including 7 3-pointers.
Barnesville (10-3) will play a Heart O’ Lakes Conference contest at Hawley on Thursday night.
