The Fergus Falls boys' basketball team was leading 26-25 with three minutes to go in the first half when Brock Kotschevar, Dominic Aguilar and Cody Norgren hit consecutive three-point field goals to give the Otters a 35-25 halftime lead and start them on a 30-2 run that kicked their lead up to 56-27 on the way to a 74-42 road victory over the Willmar Cardinals on Tuesday night.
Ethan Olson led Fergus Falls with 22 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Chance Fazio (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Cody Norgren (11 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded a double-double. Dominic Aguilar contributed 13 points and 6 assists.
Fergus Falls held a 38-23 advantage on the boards.
Samuel Fraser led Willmar with 11 points.
The Otters will host Menahga on Thursday night.
