The Underwood girls’ basketball team led 29-19 at the half and went on to defeat Park Christian School by the score of 46-38 on Tuesday night in Moorhead.

“Tonight was a total gut check game, coming off a big road win last night in Graceville and then turning around and getting a huge win at 13-1 Park Christian is some really poor scheduling by our activities director.  I need to sit down and talk to him about that....,” said Underwood Head Coach and Activities Director Brian Hovland.

Kayla Rocholl (18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals) and Ceri Meech (10 points, 3 rebounds) were in double figures for the Rockets.  Josey Bugbee distributed a team high 4 assists and Ally Johnson had 13 rebounds.

“I couldn't be prouder of how the girls played defensively they executed the game plan to perfection,” noted Hovland.  “Offensively, we are starting to do the things we need to do when a team slows us down.  Our seniors really stepped it up. Kayla, Ally and Ceri had great games on both ends of the floor.”

Underwood (9-5) won for the sixth straight time.  They will host Pelican Rapids on Friday night.
