The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team made 8 of 12 free throws down the stretch to secure an 80-70 victory at Parkers Prairie Tuesday night.  The Panthers led 34-29 at halftime.

Four Arrows scored in double figures.  Hunter Norby made 14 of his 21 points in the second half.  Jacob Cook and Torin Olson added 20 points apiece.  Jaden Norby scored 11 second half points.  Noah Johnson finished out the scoring with 7 points.

The Panthers All-Conference point guard Alex Koep led all scorers with 26 points - 21 of them coming in the second half.

The Arrows shot 43% (10/23) from behind the three point line and 48% (29/60) overall from the field.  Cook came close to achieving a double-double grabbing 9 of the Arrows 34 rebounds.

“We trailed by nine early in the second half,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “Then the boys began playing with improved intensity on defense and made some big shots.”

Up next for Ashby (9-3) is a trip to Henning to take on the defending State Champion Hornets Friday night.

Parkers Prairie (10-2) will travel to Evansville to face the Chargers on Friday night.
