The Underwood Rockets traveled to play Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday night and built a 37-15 halftime lead on the way to a 63-29 victory.  The Rockets shot 41% (5-12) from 3-point land and made 42% (27-63) of their field goal attempts on the night.

“Great road win, CGB is a tough place to win especially on a Monday night,” reported Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland. “Credit the girls in being mentally prepared.  Defensively we played really again and were able to force mistakes early. Even when we were not getting steals we were able to force them into uncomfortable shots. We need to work on rebounding as Ward really hurt us on the offensive boards.”

Kayla Rocholl made 10-of-17 shots from the field, finishing with 22 points.  Ceri Meech added 11 points and Jorja Gabrielson chipped in with 10 points. Meech had a team high 9 rebounds and came up with 3 steals.  Rocholl led the team with 4 assists and 5 steals.  Brooke Hovland contributed 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.  Josey Bugbee had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.

Underwood (8-5) has won five straight games.  They will travel to Moorhead on Tuesday to face Park Christian School before returning home to host Pelican Rapids on Friday night.
