“It was a good competitive game all night against a quality Hawley team,” reported B-E Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “Hate to lose, but we will get better having played top level competition on a college court. We are back at home Monday for a Little Eight Conference battle vs Ashby, so need to quickly turn around and get back to work.”
Haddey Zastrow scored 16 points and Kailee Klimek added 13 to lead Brandon-Evansville.
Bailey Schaeffer and Brittany Korkowski led the rebounding effort with 8 and 7, respectively.
The Chargers next game is against Battle Lake on Thursday in Brandon.
The Nuggets (9-2) will entertain Fergus Falls in a Section 8AA contest on Tuesday night.
