The Park Christian Falcons paid a visit to Fergus Falls for a Saturday afternoon encounter with the Hillcrest girls’ basketball team. The Falcons headed back to Moorhead with a 54-33 victory over the lady Comets.
Karley Motschenbacher poured in a game high 27 points to lead the Falcons. Edin Tofibam scored 7 and Taegan Crabtree added six.
“Our girls played really well against one of the top teams in our section,” said Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “I thought we played good defense today, but give credit to Park, they shot the ball well and finished around the rim.”
Anna Rasmussen turned in a solid performance for the Comets with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Molly McGuire contributed 6 points and Mackenzie Foss chipped in with 4 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
“We handled their full court pressure and I liked how aggressive we were on offense,” noted Coach Clark. “Anna had a great game for us today on both ends of the floor. She attacked the basket really well and shot the ball with confidence. Mackenzie did a nice job of initiating our offense against Park’s aggressive ball pressure.”
Hillcrest will host Breckenridge on Tuesday night and Parkers Prairie on Thursday.
