“Senior's Ally Johnson and Ceri Meech had really good games, our post to post passing has been an emphasis and they did an excellent job,” said Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland. “We started out down 8-0, defensively we just weren't moving our feet well. We then turned up the defensive pressure and went on a 39-9 run going into half time.”
Underwood shot 46% (30-64) from the floor. Meech made 5-of-7 shots and finished with 10 points. Moraes Bugbee added 10 points, making 4-of-7 field goal attempts. Josey Bugbee scored 9 points and Kayla Rocholl and Liz Lukken finished with 8 points each. Meech also had a team high six rebounds. Rocholl picked up 5 steals and dished out 6 assists.
Underwood (7-5, 4-2 LEC) has now won four in a row. They will travel to Graceville Monday night to face C-G-B and will be in Moorhead Tuesday for a game with Park Christian School.
Rothsay (3-10) is at Ulen Tuesday night for a game against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal.
