Wadena-Deer Creek Girls Fall to Crosby-Ironton

Crosby-Ironton led 37-22 at the half, however, the Wadena-Deer Creek girls’ basketball team put together a solid second half, finishing strong but coming up short in a 62-52 loss on Friday night.

Karli Nixon had 19 of her team high 22 points to lead the Rangers.  Lily Peterson added 16 and Tori Decent had 15.  C-I hit 6 3-pointers and made 14-of-15 free throw attempts.

Wadena-Deer Creek received 27 points from Madison Carsten and 9 points from Kennedy Gravelle and Laura Krause.

The Wolverines (6-6) will play at Menahga on Tuesday night.

Crosby-Ironton (9-3) will play at Detroit Lakes on Tuesday.
