The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team defeated the Bertha-Hewitt Bears 66-40 on Thursday night.  The Arrows led 39-18 at halftime.

Ashby got off to a quick start grabbing a 19-4 lead.  Six players knocked down a three point basket in the half.  Three reached double figures for the game.  Torin Olson led all scorers with 16 points.  Jacob Cook and Noah Johnson each had eleven.  Derrek Bartz had three 3's for nine points.  Ashby had a 30-26 rebounding edge.  Jaden Norby gathered 11 boards including 7 on the offensive glass.  The Arrows dished out 19 assists and recorded 10 steals.  Ashby shot the ball at a 50% (28/57) clip.  Landen Adams was the lone Bear to reach double figures with 14 points.

“We made significant scoring runs to begin the game and the second half,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “That kept the Bears on their heels for much of the contest.”

The Arrows host Brandon-Evansville Friday.  Both teams are currently undefeated in the Little Eight Conference.
