"We came out way too flat this morning and let Warroad build a big first half lead,” reported Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece. “We played a better second half but gave them way too big of a lead in the first half. We need to limit our turnovers and create more opportunities on the offensive end moving forward.”
Warroad shot 46% (26-56) from the floor and held a 35-25 edge on the boards. Underwood made 29% (11-37) of their field goal attempts.
The Rockets were led by Canaan Kugler (10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Krosby Aaasness (8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists).
The loss was the sixth in a row for the Rockets after their opening night win over C-G-B. They will play at Bertha-Hewitt on Friday and then host Ortonville on Saturday.
