Strong Second Half Performance Leads Perham Boys Past DGF

The Perham boys’ basketball team led 35-34 at the half and outscored DGF 43-31 over the final 18 minutes to post a 78-65 Heart O’ Lakes Conference win on Thursday night.

Elijah Morris led five players in double figures, scoring 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting.  He also made 4-of-11 3-pointers, dished out 3 assists and pulled down 3 rebounds.  Charlie Rasmussen (15 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals), Finn Diggins (15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks), Landon Stevens (13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) and Gunnar Anderson (10 points, 5 rebounds) were also in double digits.

Perham shot 50% (28-56) from the field and made 41.7% (10-24) of their 3-pointers.  The Rebels made 36% (19-53) of their field goal attempts and just 25% (7-28) of their 3’s.

DGF was led by Aiden Leach (21 points, 6 rebounds), Jacob Strand (18 points, 4 rebounds) and Owen Leach (13 points, 10 rebounds).

Perham (5-0) will host a Holiday Tournament on Friday, December 27 and Saturday, December 28.

DGF (3-2) will play in a tournament in Moorhead on December 27 and 28.
