“We fell behind because of early defensive miscues, and simply not getting the ball in the net,” said Head Coach Jordon Roos of the Warriors. “Second half we had a change of fortune and were able to force a lot of turnovers which helped get the offense going.”
Matt Thielen poured in 38 points, making 11-of-26 shots, including 7-of-17 3’s. He also had 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Clint Determan added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Dylan Bainbridge distributed 10 assists, scored 5 points and came up with 3 steals.
Leaders for Ortonville were Zach Kuechenmeister and Owen Longnecker with 20 and 18 points, respectively.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (2-1) will host Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Friday.
Ortonville (0-3) hits the road for a battle with C-G-B next Thursday.
