The Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors led 34-30 at the half and held on for a 69-64 win over Brandon-Evansville on Thursday night.

“Wheaton played a really good game tonight and deserved to win, so a lot of credit goes to how they played,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “We didn't do enough defensively to make things difficult for them tonight. Offensively we were able to score a few more points which was nice, but we don't want to be giving up 69 points in a game. Our attention turns to Rothsay now for tomorrow night's home Little Eight contest. I'm excited to see how we respond after a loss.”

Haddey Zastrow led the Chargers with 16 points and 4 steals.  Mikenna Pattrin contributed 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals, and Kristen Kokett added 11 points, 4 steals and 2 assists.  Bailey Schaefer dished out 3 assists and had 5 points.  Brittany Korkowski finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

Brandon-Evansville made 37% (19-51) of their field goal attempts on the night.
