Kathy Walker is in her fourth year as Head Coach of the Alexandria boys' swimming and diving team, but has over 40 years of coaching experience behind her.  The Cardinals are coming off a season where they were undefeated in dual meets, winning the Central Lakes Conference title and the Section 5A championship on the way to a fifth place in Class A State competition.  The 2019-2020 season will be without some key members of that state tournament team, but they also have a solid nucleus of swimmers with state experience coming back.

The Cardinals lost Patrick Chromey (all-state in the 200 and 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay), Nick Olson (all-state in 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay), Geoffrey King (now at Gustavus) and Jaymeson Wolkow.

Returners include Nicolas Welle (all-state 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay), Thomas Williams (all-state in 100 backstroke), Anthony Hoyt (all-state in 500 freestyle), Jameson Molesworth and Logan Tung.

Coach Walker is counting on varsity newcomer Caden Kavanagh to make an impact in diving.

Molesworth, Ethan Johnson and Torrey Olson Rodel will serve as team captains.

Steve Kluver and Aaron Rooney will serve as assistant coaches.
