Luke Bjorklund made 8-of-9 shots from the floor, scoring 17 points to lead the Henning Hornets in the 47-12 win over the Underwood Rockets on Thursday night in Henning.

As a team the Hornets made 44% (24-54) of their field goal attempts and hit 38% (5-13) of their 3’s.  Brandon Trana scored 13 points and 4 rebounds, and Isaac Fisher added 10 points, 4 steals and 3 rebounds.  Tanner Arndt led the Hornets with 5 assists and also had 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 4 points.

“We played a great defensive game, but really had a hard time finding any flow on offense,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We need to get back to work and get ready for three big games next week.  Luke Bjorklund gave us a nice spark tonight off the bench.”

The Rockets trailed 23-7 at the half and were outscored 34-5 over the final 18 minutes.  Underwood was led by 5 points from Canaan Kugler and 4 from Krosby Aasness.

“We couldn't get anything going against a very strong Henning defense tonight,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Their pressure proved too much for us to handle and we weren't able to get the ball into the front court and didn't create enough scoring opportunities.  Our defense did a nice job of keeping a very good offense in check, but we just weren't able to make anything happen on the offensive side of the ball.”
