The Fergus Falls Gymnastics team finished third in the strong Section 8A meet last season and won the section academic award with a combined GPA of 3.97.  Battling perennial power houses Perham and Detroit Lakes is always challenging, and as head coach Satera Harlow begins her third year in the position, the Otters are poised to challenge the Yellowjackets and Lakers with a young team that brings some solid varsity experience to the arena.

“Our biggest strength will be the team depth that we have on Floor and Balance Beam this year,” said Harlow.  “Our weakness over the past couple of years has been Uneven Bars and we are working hard toward improvement in that area.”

Senior Mayson Jensen, a state qualifier as a sophomore, and juniors Ashlyn Fronning and Isabell Strege will serve as captains for the Otters.  Sophomore gymnasts Kellen Frigaard and Madison Muchow also return.

Harlow will also be looking for varsity contributions from sophomore Rachel Nordlund, freshman Olivia Trout, and seventh-grader Aubrey Seedorf.

Carrie Papon will assist Coach Harlow.

Willmar and Sartell are expected to be the top teams in the Central Lakes Conference.
