The Breckenridge wrestling team lost two state qualifiers, Zach Haire and Tanner Differding, to graduation, however, they also return state qualifier Daniel Erlandson (6th at 195) and section placer Aidan Ruddy (3rd at 132), along with several other experienced varsity letter winners.

Erlandson and fellow junior Bryant Hasse will serve as team captains this season.  Ruddy and Wyatt Differding are the two returning sophomores and they are joined by ninth-graders Zane Mikkelson and Matt Noll, and eighth-graders Grant Davis and Zander Gregor.

“As always, our mission is to develop individuals who reach their full human and athletic potential with high character and moral integrity, and who leave BHS ready to make this world a better place,” commented fourth-year Head Coach Tom Haire of the Cowboys.  “We have a group of hard workers with great attitudes.  We will be young and filling the weights could be a challenge for us.”

Eric Erlandson, Gabe Diaz, Tracer Lee, Dylan Meng, Gavin Reinke and Levi Schwab will serve as assistants to Haire.

Haire says Ottertail Central and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie are the top teams in Section 6A.
