The Wheaton/Herman-Norcross boys’ basketball team returns three starters from a year ago, but will need to replace starters Hunter Johnson and Zach Stueve who graduated, along with Christian Krump.  Head Coach Jordon Roos is in just his second year leading the Warriors.

Returning starters are seniors Matt Thielen (Guard), Nick Lupkes (Guard/Forward) and Mike Franzese (Post).  Freshman Dylan Bainbridge is also a returning letter winner.

Senior Logan Birchem, sophomore Zach Braaten and freshman Clint Determan will all be vying for varsity playing time.

“We are looking for a more competitive varsity season as we have more guys competing for playing time and we have an athletic team,” said Coach Roos.  “It’s my second year so hopefully players are more comfortable and familiar with our system.”

Dan Rinke will serve as assistant coach for the Warriors.

Coach Roos sees West Central Area as a top team in the Pheasant Conference, with Parkers Prairie joining the Knights as favorites in Section play.
