The Ashby Arrows made the long trip to Clinton on Tuesday night to try and domesticate the Wolverines of Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley in girls' basketball.  Unfortunately the ride home seemed even longer than the trip there for the Lady Arrows as C-G-B won easily, 55-34.

The Arrows got off to a horrendous start trailing early 15-0. At that point, Celi Nelson carried the Arrows on her back scoring 15 of the Arrows 17 first half points to close the gap slightly as Ashby trailed by 12 at the break. Cold shooting, poor passing, and the lack of rebounding made for a bad recipe against a very good, 3-0, C-G-B team.

Nelson finished with a team high 21 points, making 6-of-7 free throws and a trio of 3-point field goals.  Courtney Koefod was held to 6 points.

The Arrows have some time off for Thanksgiving to regroup and prepare for a game at Underwood on Tuesday, December 3.
