The Barnesville girls’ basketball team went to Battle Lake on Tuesday night and recorded a 58-21 victory over the Battlers.
Barnesville shot 48% (24-50) from the field and made 6-of-13 (46%) three-pointers. They dominated the boards, 39-13, pulling down 20 offensive rebounds.
Emily Bredman and Lauren Halverson led the Trojans with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Sydney Strand added 9 points and Emily Smith chipped in with 7 points. Bredman completed her double-double with 11 rebounds, 7 of which came on the offensive end. Kenzie Skogen grabbed 9 boards and Lexi Bolgrean had six. Strand had a team high 4 steals. Assist leaders were Strand and Samantha Passa with 4 each.
Barnesville travels to Park Rapids for a game next Tuesday night.
Battle Lake will open Little Eight Conference play at home against Brandon-Evansville next Tuesday.
