The Fergus Falls PeeWee B Hockey team kicked off their 2019-2020 season with three road contests.

The first matchup brought the Otters against the Brainerd PeeWee Blue.  The Warriors came out strong and scored three quick goals in the first 5 minutes of the first period.  Despite some tough defense and great goaltending by Jake Mitchell with 32 saves, the Warriors would go on to score a total of 8 goals.  The lone Otter goal of the contest came from the stick of Andrayus Lopez, scoring early in the second period.

Later that same day, the Otter convoy traveled to Crosby to take on the Lightning of Northern Lakes.  This time, it was the Innova squad firing first, with an unassisted goal from Benett Thielke.  In a game that was heavy on the offense, the Otters came up just two goals short despite lighting the lamp a total of eight times.  Six PeeWees scored goals in the contest: Thielke (2), Quinn Wynn-Sheldon (2), Lopez, Landon Karsnia, Simon McGovern & Riley Anderson.  Earning assists were Karsnia (2), Nolan Wedll, Wynn-Sheldon, Thielke, Drew Johnson & Camden Skjeret.

Looking for their first win and cashing in big, the Otters next traveled to Long Prairie to take on the Prairie Centre Stars.  The scoring started early in the first and peaked in the second, with a final score of 12-0 Otters.  Leading in goals scored were Thielke (5), Rowan Cheshire (2), Johnson, Karsnia, Brant Scheuerman, Wynn-Sheldon & Lopez.  Assists went to Cheshire (3), Anderson (2), Wynn-Sheldon (2), Wedll, Lopez, Ruger Tonneson & McGovern.  Sharing in the shutout win were goalies Ben Koch & Jake Mitchell.

Next up for the PWB Otters is the Morris-Benson Storm on home ice on Friday the 23rd, before returning to the road against West Fargo and Alexandria.

The Innova Industries PWBs are coached by Dan Tonneson, Nathan Kuhn and Dustin Wynn.
