Fergus Falls Volleyball Awards

The Fergus Falls volleyball team finished their season strong with playoff wins over second-seeded Staples-Motley and third-seeded Perham before falling to top-seeded Pequot Lakes in Section 8AA sub-section tournament action.  The Otters held their awards night over the weekend with Kaia Strom being named Team MVP and receiving the award as Best Setter.

Other awards went to Logan Strom (Best Defense), Tori Ratz (Best Passer), Katie Strommen (Best Blocker, Most Improved), Hannah Prody (Best Hitter, Jugular Award), Jade Zierden (Best Team Player, Best Practice Player), Paige Pearson (Best Server), Sabrina Fronning (Ms. Hustle) and Kaylee Ridler (Most Inspirational).  Fronning and Zierden shared the Most Versatile Player award, while the Coaches Award went to Alaina Anderson, Lexi Ouren and Laci Strom.

Zierden and Kaia Strom were named to the All-Central Lakes Conference team.  Fronning, Strommen and Prody were honorable mention selections.

The Otters were the recipients of the CLC Sportsmanship Award for 2019.  Zierden, Fronning and Kaia Strom served as team captains.
