Perham's Fischer Claims Section 8A Diving Title

Perham senior Dena Fischer won the Section 8A diving title with 416.50 points and will compete in the state meet next week at the U of M Aquatic Center.

Here are the individual results for Perham/New York Mills swimmers.

200 Medley Relay

Diving

200 Freestyle Relay

100 Backstroke
9. Irene Mursu 1:09.04

400 Freestyle Relay
10. 4:22.35 (Kaydi Mursu, Lucy Schultz, Oakley McNair, Olivea McDonald)

Grand Rapids won the Section 8A team title with 439 points and Detroit Lakes was second with 419 points.  They were followed by Bemidji (292), Park Rapids (291) and the Otters (206).  Thief River Falls was sixth with 162, Fosston-Bagley was seventh with 123, Perham/New York Mills was next with 113, Warroad/Roseau/Greenbush/Middle River finished ninth with 81 points and Crookston was tenth with 58.
