Emilie Carlson Qualifies for State Swim Meet in 200 IM

Fergus Falls sophomore Emilie Carlson is headed to the Class A State Girls Swimming and Diving Championships next week at the U of M Aquatic Center.  Carlson qualified with a second place finish in the 200 IM (2:17.61).

Grand Rapids won the Section 8A team title with 439 points and Detroit Lakes was second with 419 points.  They were followed by Bemidji (292), Park Rapids (291) and the Otters (206).  Thief River Falls was sixth with 162, Fosston-Bagley was seventh with 123, Perham/New York Mills was next with 113, Warroad/Roseau/Greenbush/Middle River finished ninth with 81 points and Crookston was tenth with 58.
