The Henning Hornets swept past Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 25-18, 25-12, 25-14 to claim the South Sub-Section 6A championship on Tuesday night in Barrett. The Hornets will now meet Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday night at 7:00pm to decide the Section 6 title. The Wolverines topped New York Mills in four sets, 18-25, 29-27, 25-11, 25-21.
Senor Kylee Mesker recorded 24 service points in the match, including 14 in a row when her team was trailing 5-2 in the third set.
Leading the attack were Megan Rinicker (13 kills), Serena Greenwood (10 kills), Abi Eckhoff (7 kills) and Sydney Eckhoff (7 kills).
C-G-B was led by Jessica Moberg (6 kills), Lora Botker (5 kills) and Reanna Ward (5 kills).
