Cowboys Record 41-6 Road Win in 6A Football Playoffs

Breckenridge ran for 463 yards and compiled 504 yards of total offense on Saturday afternoon as they crushed Walker-Hackensack-Akeley by the score of 41-6 in Section 6A semifinal playoff action.

Jacob Vizenor led the ground attack with 147 yards on just 7 carries.  Jack Aigner ran for 124 yards on 6 attempts and Chris Nieto had 86 rushing yards on 8 carries.  As a team the Cowboys averaged over nine yards per carry on the day.  Cooper Yaggie completed 3-of-5 passes for 41 yards.

The Cowboys held W-H-A to just 132 yards of offense, 61 coming on the ground.  The Breckenridge defense came up with four interceptions on the day, three by Jace Jensen and one by Jacob Vizenor.

Breckenridge scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns as they jumped out to a 12-0 lead.  Vizenor scored on a 57 yard run and Nieto on a 3-yard run.

In the second quarter, Vizenor broke loose for a 47 yard TD run and Aigner scored from 30 yards out.  Carson Hought booted both extra points, giving the Cowboys a 26-0 halftime advantage.

Daniel Erlandson scored on a 6-yard run and added the two-point conversion run in the third to put the score at 34-0, before the home team finally got into the end zone on a one yard run by Riley Welk.  Vizeor scored his third touchdown of the day on a 28 yard run and Hought was once again successful on the extra point kick to end the third quarter with the score at 41-6.  The teams played a scoreless fourth quarter.
