The seventh-seeded Fergus Falls volleyball team followed up their 3-0 win over number two seed Staples-Motley with another 3-0 win on Friday night, this time against the Yellowjackets in Perham, posting a 28-26, 26-24, 25-20 win.

"Perham played a good, strategic match against us, but we were able to make some good adjustments and had some big plays from a number of different kids," said Head Coach Renee Erickson of the Otters.

The Otters served 95.7% (67/70) on the night with Kaia Strom (16/16, 1 ace), Tori Ratz (12/12) and Hannah Prody (9/9) all perfect from the line.  Jade Zierden (15/16), Sabrina Fronning (8/9, 1 ace) and Paige Pearson (7/8) missed only one serve each.

Strom distributed 32 set assists and kill leaders were Prody with 14 and Fronning with 11.  Katie Strommen and Zierden added 6 apiece.  Pearson contributed 3 blocks and Strommen had 1.5 blocks.

The Otters came up big defensively, being led in digs by Zierden (32), Ratz (23), Fronning (21), Logan Strom (19) and Kaia Strom (15).

Fergus Falls will now face the top seed in the South half of Section 8AA, Pequot Lakes, on Tuesday night at 7:00pm at the Wadena-Deer Creek High School.
