Aho Returns Two Interceptions for TDs as Otters Post 29-21 Win

Fergus Falls improved their season record to 4-4 with a 29-21 victory in Pequot Lakes on Wednesday night.

After a scoreless first quarter the Otters struck with a 40 yard TD pass from Ethan Olson to Brock Kotschevar and a Shane Wahlund PAT kick.  Cale Wolf then connected on a 28-yard scoring toss to Alex Morgan to get the Patriots on the board.  The extra point kick tied the game at 7-7.  Kaden Hartwell tackled the Pequot Lakes quarterback for a safety to give the Otters a 9-7 lead, however, Zach Jorgens put the Patriots on top 13-9 at halftime when he scored on a five yard run.

Fergus Falls regained the lead at 15-13 on a 13 yard pass from Olson to Cody Norgren, but Pequot Lakes went back on top 21-15 on an 80 yard kickoff return by Bode Magnusson and a Wolf to Hunter Nybakken two-point conversion pass.

Abel Aho returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns, covering 69 yards and 35 yards.  Wahlund booted both extra points, putting the final at 29-21.

Olson threw for 247 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Parker Jacobs ran for 132 yards on 24 carries and Brock Kotschevar hauled in six passes for 136 yards.
