Ellie went into the tournament as the #4 seed from the north sub-section and faced the #1 seed Ashley Tarrolly from the south sub-section. 

“Ellie's game plan for today was to go big,” said Head Coach Jamie Lill of the Otters.  “She knew she needed to go for shots and not allow Ashley to dictate play as much as possible.  She served big, varied pace and placement well, and battled hard but was unable to win any games.  In the first set Ellie had game points in three games, but Tarrolly was just too good on the big points.” 

To put Ellie's opponent in perspective, she won three matches on Saturday to earn the section championship and lost a total of four games throughout those three matches. 

“She dominates the section handily,” noted Lill.  “Ellie did a nice job today representing herself, our team and our community.  She is a class act, on and off the court, and is looking forward to making a push further next year.”
