Hunter Anderson scored three touchdowns and ran for a trio of two-point conversions on Wednesday night, leading the Barnesville Trojans to a 44-0 win in Roseau.

“The field was easily the worst conditions I have ever seen in all my years of coaching, and nothing even comes in a close 2nd to it,” commented Barnesville Head Coach Bryan Strand.  “The team and coaches had to stand on the track to avoid the mud pit that was in front of us.  Kids worked hard, fought through the conditions and got a very n ice win.  Roseau kids played hard and displayed the best sportsmanship of any team we've faced this year.”

Anderson returned a kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown and ran the football 3 times for 29 yards on the night.  Aaron Schiefert had 5 carries for 55 yards and one TD.  Cam Heng had 36 yards on 5 attempts and Braden Bredman scored a touchdown, running for 25 yards on 3 carries.  Hunter Zenzen caught two passes for 44 yards and a score, and Adam Tonsfeldt completed 3-of-5 passes for 51 yards and one TD pass.

Defensive leaders for the Trojans were led by Zenzen with ten tackles, including a sack, Anderson with 7 tackles, including a sack, and Noah Krause intercepted a pass.

“We got away with no injuries and now a decent rest and prep time to get ready for Staples,” noted Coach Strand.  “Hunter Anderson and Hunter Zenzen had terrific games on both sides of the ball and Aaron Schiefert ran the ball really well too.  Overall great team victory, glad to have gotten the game in a few days early.”

Barnesville will host Staples-Motley on Wednesday night, Parents Night for the Trojans.
