The Tigers scored off a direct kick with twelve seconds left in the first half and score their second goal midway through the second half.
“With seedings already done this past Sunday, we took advantage of resting some of the girls for Thursday’s playoff game against Detroit Lakes,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens. “The girls who took the field tonight played so well. The young players who were new to varsity soccer had a great experience and proved to themselves they can play at this level. The girls that typically play varsity soccer took on leadership roles they had not taken on before and they excelled at it. It was a great game for so many kids. It’s what high school sports is all about.”
