Parkers Prairie and Battle Lake fought through five tough sets of Little Eight Conference volleyball on Thursday night with the Panthers prevailing on their home court 23-25, 25-22, 25-13, 21-25, 15-10).

“The match was very close with the exception of set three,” stated Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “Both teams made some great runs and had some strong defensive play.  Parkers played a little more consistent in the fifth set and we ran out of time for a comeback.  This was a great match for the Battlers.  We had players in new spots and we had a variety of girls step up big time tonight.”

Leaders for the Battlers were Adysen Tysdal (11 kills, 11 digs), Makenna Tysdal (32 digs), Kate Christensen (29 set assists), Halie Johnson (20/21 serving, 4 aces) and Maleah Hull (7 kills).

The Battlers head to Pelican Rapids for a non-conference match on Monday.

No Parkers Prairie stats have been reported.
