The New York Mills football team improved their season record to 3-2 with a 37-0 win over Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday night.

“A great team win by our team,” commented Head coach Matt Radniecki.  “Obviously the defense played very well in getting a shutout.  We did what we wanted by not allowing the big play to WDC.  They have some good skill position players and we were aware of what they could do.  Our pass rush and secondary play was very good tonight. We were able to get three interceptions and had some sacks which really helped the defense out.  On offense we continued to be able to run the ball and had another night of excellent blocking and running by our backs.  Bren Salo, Logan Small and Daunte Leiran have all done a great job along with others in running hard.  I really like the way our line is coming together and we did another very good job tonight.  The kids were excited to play WDC and it showed we were ready to play and enjoyed playing someone down the road from us in a rival game.  Next week we get to play OTC who is always a well-coached team and they will be ready to play.”
