Third place went to Caitlin Bright (19:47.2), fourth to Jaelyn Miller (19:50.5), fifth to Bethany Miller (19:58.8) and sixth to Giselle Jahner (20:01.6), all members of the Alexandria Cardinals.

Fargo North was second in the team competition with 49 points, followed by West Central Area (85), Fergus Falls (107), Detroit Lakes (136), and Breckenridge/Wahpeton (154).

“We finally had excellent running weather for a meet,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde.  “We have a very challenging course.  There are rare places to run where there is not a rise or fall.  I am very excited for how our girls ran tonight. Emily Nuss (20:30.5) ran an excellent time tonight leading the Otters across the line.  Karolyn Papon (22:03.1) was aggressive and focused on the course, bringing a season best time.  Ainsley Hansen (22:41.9) and Ellia Soydara (23:20.0) both posted near 50 second personal season records.  Makena Stenstrom (23:29.1) ran one of her best times of the season to bring in the 5th scoring position.  Rebecca Schindler (23:40.2) and Brooklyn Berge both dropped near a minute off their season bests and senior Emma Rund dropped over a minute.  Every single one of our Middle school girls dropped time off their season best. That along with our High School runners’ success shows how their hard work and great attitudes are making a difference.  I am really enjoying coaching all of these girls.”
