The Fergus Falls boys cross country team participated in the Rocori Invitational on Thursday, getting a first-hand look at the course that will host the Section meet. Willmar won the boys team competition with 37 points and Bemidji was second with 48. Moorhead took third with 85 and Alexandria was fourth with 114.
Gage Mostad (16:36.5) of Bemidji won the boys race and Evan Myran (16:42.7) of Moorhead was runner-up.
Fergus Falls was led by Luke Schroeder (18:53.4) 53rd, Joe Eberle (19:48.2) 91st, Kolsen Papon (20:01.0) 96th, Zach Lobb (20:21.9) 105th and Mason Olson (20:40.3) 109th. Tucker Rowlan (21:49.3) finished 120th.
“The boys have been seeking improvement every time they take the starting line,” commented Head Coach Derek Meyer. “Leading the pace and a season best time for the boys was Luke Schroeder. Joe Eberle had a solid performance but is still working on his race legs.”
