The Brandon-Evansville volleyball team swept Hillcrest 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 on Tuesday night in a Little Eight Conference match.

“We welcomed Hillcrest to Evansville for our homecoming match,” said Head Coach Kelly Olson of Brandon-Evansville. “After a tough road win Monday, we really wanted to play efficient and make the most of our opportunities.  Along with that we wanted to get some experience on the floor with some of our substitutes. We had each player contribute and there were a handful of first kills, assists, and digs. Hillcrest played hard, but I think we passed the ball pretty well and kept good pressure on their defense. That was the key to the match tonight. The players should all be happy for each other with a good win.”

Leaders for the Chargers were Kristen Kokett (10 digs), Bailey Schaefer (9 kills, 5 digs), Kailee Klimek (5 kills, 5 digs, 1 block, 17/18 serving), Korrie Randt (18 set assists, 4 digs, 14/15 serving, 1 ace), Brittany Korkowski (18/18 serving, 2 aces, 4 digs, 2 kills) and Mikenna Pattrin (4 kills, 2 digs).  Kylee Dingwall added 4 set assists and a pair of digs.

The Comets were led in kills by Mackenzie Foss, who also had a team high 18 digs. Audra Ewan contributed 6 set assists, while sophomore Natalie Zwiers and freshman Madi Foss each had 2 kills.

"Tonight I kept waiting for something to click that would get us into sync," said Hillcrest Head Coach Debi Foss.  "We struggled to get into any kind of rhythm. We had a ton of errors and had very little offense. Tomorrow we regroup, get focused, and get ready for our game against Ashby on Thursday."
