Brandon-Evansville posted a 3-0 (25-7, 25-18, 25-12) sweep of Ashby in a Little Eight Conference match on Thursday night in Evansville.

“We had a great crowd show up from both communities,” said B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson. “On our side of the net we wanted to do two things in order to be successful: serve well and side out consistently. We served 95% and were over 60% in siding out. I put some pressure on the girls by throwing them in different lineups and they responded. We bogged down a bit in the second set in our serve receive but did a great job finishing the set. Coming out fast was important and we did that each set. Overall the match was efficient and clean, even when Ashby scrambled and threw us some unexpected balls. I liked our play on offense and defense, and everyone did what they were supposed to.”

Leaders for the Chargers were Mikenna Pattrin (9 kills, 2 blocks), Bailey Schaefer (7 kills), Haddey Zastrow (6 kills, 2 blocks), Kailee Klimek (8 digs, 2 ace serves), Korrie Randt (21 set assists) and Brittany Korkowski (7 ace serves, 4 digs).  Serving leaders were Korkowski (21/21), Gretchen Bredberg (9/9), Klimek (18/19), Randt (6/6) and Boris Jacobson (5/5).

The Chargers will visit Wheaton on Monday and will host Hillcrest on Tuesday.
