The Cowboys received the opening kickoff and made the most of it. Breckenridge put together a long scoring drive eating up most of the clock during the first quarter. The Cowboys rushed up the middle on the two-point conversion attempt, making the score 8-0.

The Otters responded well, scoring on their first offensive play of the game. Aikhem Bethel shed a defender and rushed to the right for a 60 yard touchdown. Carston Fronning took a handoff to the left on the following two-point conversion play to tie the game up 8-8.

On the following Cowboy drive, Otter cornerback Clayton Brown intercepted a Cowboy pass attempt, ending any hopes of a Breckenridge score.

Fergus Falls moved the ball well on their following offensive drive, resulting in an Otter score. The scoring play was a connection from quarterback Levi King to wingback Aikhem Bethel on a 15 yard pass to the right. Fergus Falls failed to convert on the following two-point conversion play.

The Cowboys were unable to score again in the first half. Otter cornerback Isaac Ellison intercepted a Cowboy pass attempt with less than a minute to play in the first half. The Otters took a 14-8 lead into halftime.

The Otters received the second half kickoff and looked to increase their lead. The Otters were moving the ball well, when an interception thrown by the Otters, ended any hopes of scoring.

The Cowboys struggled to move the ball on their next offensive drive. The Cowboys ended up punting after a three and out series, giving the Otters the ball back near midfield.

The Otters struggled to move the ball well, but a great play by tailback Darius Lockett resulted in a score. A busted play from the start, Lockett was nearly tackled in the backfield. Shedding defenders, Lockett was able to find open field to the left and rushed 40 yards for the score. After failing to convert the following two-point conversion play, the Otters took a 20-8 lead.

The Cowboys turned the ball over on downs late in the game, giving the Otters one last chance to score. The Otters moved the ball well, converting on a key third down to keep the clock moving. On the next play, Otter wingback Alex Ellison rushed to the left, and outran everyone in route to a 35 yard score. The Otters failed to convert another two-point conversion, and the game ended 26-8 in favor of the Otters. The Otters travel to Detroit Lakes on Thursday, September 12 to test their abilities against the Lakers.
