The Battle Lake volleyball team lost their home opener Tuesday night to Little Eight Conference opponent Parkers Prairie 3-0 (20-25, 24-26, 20-25). The Battlers were either tied or had the lead in each set.
“The Battlers played a solid match but let Parkers go on too many scoring runs and had to play catch up in each set,” said Head Coach Jenny Roisum. “We are still learning and improving each night. Tonight we let the lead go and missed key opportunities.”
Grace Van Erp had a solid night for the Battlers with 14 assists, 12 digs, and 8 kills. Kate Christensen added 14 kills and 9 assists. Makenna Tysdal had 14 digs, while Halie Johnson finished with 10 digs.
The Battlers host Rothsay Thursday night for parents’ night.
