The Brandon-Evansville Chargers ran for 204 yards and passed for 233 yards on Friday night as they recorded a 46-14 road win over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.

“Proud of our guys for overcoming the different environment of CGB,” said Brandon-Evansville Head coach Tim Pattrin.  “Playing in the afternoon can throw you off but our guys came out flying today.  Keagan Schiele did a great job throwing the ball today and the receivers were able to get yards after the catch.  The defense played as a unit and read their keys against a deceptive offense.  We'll fix the mistakes we made and get ready for a big Bertha team."

The scoring started just three minutes into the first quarter when Keagan Schiele connected with Tanner Bitzan on a 30 yard TD pass.  Bitzan added the extra point kick for an early 7-0 lead.  Schiele then scored on a one yard run with 1:30 to play in the opening quarter and Bitzan again booted the extra point for a 14-0 lead.

The Chargers added three more touchdowns in the second quarter as Bitzan scored on runs of 3 yards and 1 yard, and Schiele completed a 10 yard TD pass to Cade Carlson.  The two also connected on a two-point conversion pass following Bitzan’s second TD of the quarter.  Brandon-Evansville led 34-0 at the half.

C-G-B scored on a 10 yard touchdown pass from Chuck Kleindl to Jacob Adelman with 9:30 to go in the third quarter.  The same duo hooked up for the two-point conversion and it was 34-8.  B-E scored on a 3 yard run by Carlson to increase the lead to 40-8 after three quarters.

In the fourth, the Chargers scored again when Schiele hit Kyle Schaffran with a 48 yard pass.  C-G-B had the final touchdown of the day when Nate Moberg carried the ball into the end zone from 15 yards out.

Schiele completed 9-of-13 passes for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Carlson ran for 95 yards on 17 carries and Bitzan caught 4 passes for 101 yards.  Schaffran had 100 receiving yards on 3 receptions.  Defensively, Schiele intercepted two passes, Carlson had a team high 6.5 (4 solo, 5 assisted) tackles, Bitzan had 2 solo tackles and 6 assisted tackles, and Hunter Koep added a solo tackle and 7 assists.

For C-G-B, Isaac Haanen had 56 yards on 20 carries and Kleindl completed 3-of-6 passes for 38 yards.  Adelman was the Wolverines leading receiver with two catches for 34 yards.  The Wolverines finished with 135 yards of offense.
