The West Central Area volleyball team participated in the Wheaton Tournament on Saturday, playing four matches.   The Knights beat Sisseton 2-1 (15-25, 25-17, 15-12), lost to Wheaton 2-0 (25-12, 25-18), lost to Lac qui Parle Valley 2-0 (25-10, 25-20) and lost to Park Christian 2-1 (4-25, 25-19, 4-15).

“Coming in off a loss to Wheaton on Thursday, we are still trying to find the right combination of players to be more consistent in play and gain and keep momentum and good team chemistry,” said WCA Head Coach Missy Foslien.  “It’s time to start making decisions on who is going to get the job done out on the court.  Ellie Herman had a great day playing middle and tried playing outside for two games.  Kaleigh Anderson and Emma Swenson have switched on and off in the libero role and the setting role.  Both are great defensive players.  We struggled blocking today and a lot of balls dropped in the middle of the court that we need to start picking up.”

The lady Knights will face Pelican Rapids and CGB in games this coming week.
