The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels racked up 362 yards and held Fergus Falls to 126 total yards on Friday night as the Rebels shutout the Otters by the score of 40-0.  It was the second straight week the Otters were held off the scoreboard.

Carter Kohler scored on a 7-yard run and Keaton Ring added the extra point kick to get DGF off to an early 7-0 lead.  They increased the lead to 13-0 on a six yard run by Cade Sogge, also in the opening quarter.  In the second quarter, Kohler’s 21 yard TD run was followed by another PAT kick by Ring, giving the Rebels a 20-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter Justin Wang scored on a four yard run and Ring booted the PAT, making it 27-0.  The fourth quarter saw TD runs of one yard from Kohler and 5 yards from Brady Winter, with Ring making one of two PAT kicks to put the final score at 40-0.

“DGF is a senior dominated team and they played very well on Friday night,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Steve Olson.  “We are really struggling to move the ball and need to go back to the drawing board to figure something out in that area.  Also, our tackling was poor and we need to see improvement there as well.”

The Otters will play at East Grand Forks at 6:00pm on Friday, September 13.
