The M State volleyball team is ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings with an overall record of 8-0, moving up from the number nine spot in last week’s poll.

Owens Community College (11-1) received all five first place votes and is ranked number one.  They are followed by Rochester, MN (8-0) and Columbus State (8-0).  Eastfield (3-3) comes after the lady Spartans at number five.  Three other Minnesota teams are in the top ten with Central Lakes (3-3) at #6, Minnesota West (5-0) eighth and St. Cloud Tech (7-1) ninth.

Sophomore Sydney Hovland from Underwood is the MCAC Setter-of-the-Week.  Hovland collected a total of 110 assists across 4 matches at the Chaparral Invitational last week at Glen Ellyn, Illinois.  The Spartans went 4-0 in the tournament.  Hovland had a game high 39 assists in a four set triumph over Madison College to highlight the weekend.
