Pete Gaustad (10IP, 4K, 4BB, 8H, 0R, 152 pitches) of the Fergus Falls Hurricanes and Nate Beckman (11.1IP, 6H, 1BB, 6H, 0R) of the Jordan Brewers matched zeroes for ten innings on Saturday, but the Brewers pushed across a run in the bottom of the twelfth that carried them to a 1-0 win over the Hurricanes in a Class C State Tournament game at Delano Municipal Baseball Stadium.

Joe Lucas (0.2IP, 2K) struck out both batters he faced in the twelfth, earning the win for Jordan.  Darin Stanislawski (1.2IP, 1K, 0BB, 2H, 1ER) took the loss for Fergus Falls.

Adam Kalal reached with one out in the bottom of the twelfth with an infield single and moved to second when Steve Beckman was hit by a pitch.  Jack Hiedeman made a great running catch in the right centerfield gap for the second out, but Scott Hollingsworth then singled in Kalal to win the game.

The Hurricanes turned three double plays during the game and got out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth with a strikeout and a fly out to overcome their only error of the game.  Fergus Falls got runners in scoring position in the fifth, tenth and twelfth, but could not get the key hit to bring a runner home.

Fergus Falls finishes the season 18-9 overall.  They won the Countryside League title and Region 16C championship.  They were also the champs of the Mike Johnson Memorial Tournament during the season.
